Our Commitment to Sustainability & Quality

At Jasmine and Gold, we believe jewellery should hold meaning and last a lifetime and that responsibility doesn’t end with design. From the materials we choose to the way each piece is made, sustainability and quality guide everything we do.

Ethically Sourced & Recycled Metals

Our collections are crafted from ethically sourced and, where possible, recycled metals. We work with trusted partners to ensure that gold, silver, and stainless steel are obtained responsibly and refined with care. Many of our pieces are created using recycled metals recovered from old jewellery, electronics, or industrial by-products. These metals are purified back to their original state, so they carry the same strength, beauty, and value as newly mined materials without the environmental impact.

Durable & Long-Lasting Finishes

When it comes to finishes, durability is just as important as beauty. Our gold vermeil, with its thick layer of 14k gold over sterling silver, offers a luxurious, hypoallergenic surface that stands the test of time. Alongside it, our PVD-coated stainless steel provides a modern, highly durable option. The advanced coating process we use is stronger than standard plating and is designed to be waterproof, tarnish-resistant, and resilient enough for daily wear. This means our jewellery doesn’t just shine in the moment, it stays with you, season after season.

Responsible Practices

Sustainability also shapes the way we work behind the scenes. We partner only with workshops that uphold fair working conditions and ethical practices, and we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint. That means lowering energy use where possible, minimising waste, and treating any by-products responsibly. Even our packaging reflects this philosophy: it is always plastic-free, recyclable, and thoughtfully designed to protect both your jewellery and the planet.

Certified Standards

Our manufacturers are certified by internationally recognised bodies that uphold the highest standards of sustainability, quality, and ethics:

  • Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC): the global authority for responsible sourcing, ensuring ethical mining practices, supply chain transparency, and integrity throughout the jewellery industry.
  • BSCI Certification: a leading standard for social responsibility, guaranteeing fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for workers’ rights across global supply chains.
  • ISO 9001: the internationally recognised benchmark for quality management, ensuring consistency, precision, and reliability in every piece produced.
  • ISO 14001: a framework for environmental management, focused on reducing environmental impact, improving sustainability, and complying with global eco-standards.
  • ISO 45001: the international standard for occupational health and safety, protecting workers by ensuring safe practices and reducing workplace risks.

Together, these certifications demonstrate our commitment and that of our manufacturing partners - to jewellery that values craftsmanship, people, and the planet.

Quality You Can Trust

Quality is the final promise we make. Every piece passes through strict inspections before it reaches you - from the security of its gold layer, to the strength of its structure, to the precision of its finish. Only once it meets our standards of beauty and durability do we allow it to carry the Jasmine and Gold name.

A Lasting Promise

For us, sustainability is not a trend or a box to tick - it is a promise to craft jewellery that honours memories, respects the world around us, and can be worn with confidence for years to come.
